About Jacquelyn, Owner and Therapist at Songbird Counseling

I’m Jacquelyn, the founder of Songbird Counseling, and I’m passionate about helping clients navigate life's challenges with empathy and understanding.

With a background as a social worker, I’ve gained diverse experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings, each shaping me professionally and personally. My career began as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist working with children with autism, followed by roles in a state psychiatric hospital where I taught groups and contributed to treatment teams. I’ve also worked in addiction counseling, as well as provided crisis intervention and case management for veterans facing homelessness and severe mental health issues.

Throughout my journey, I’ve been committed to combating the stigma surrounding mental health, a cause that is deeply important to me.

I am also passionate about empowering parents, especially mothers, as they raise the next generation. As women, we have the unique ability to create and transform, and we deserve to be recognized for our resilience. Supporting families is one of the most meaningful ways we can change the world.

I look forward to connecting with you on your journey.
