About Jacquelyn

Jacquelyn Keyes, MSW, LISW-S

Hello, I'm Jacquelyn, owner and therapist at Songbird Counseling. I love working with clients on a variety of challenges.

As a social worker, I have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. All have played a role in shaping me both personally and professionally. I gained valuable experience working as an applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapist with children with autism. I learned about the forensic process from working in a state psychiatric hospital, where I taught groups and served on the treatment team. Later, I worked for another hospital in the Substance Dependence program doing addictions counseling and facilitating Psychoeducation groups. More recently, I worked in mental health, providing crisis intervention and case management services for severely mentally ill veterans who were facing homelessness, poverty, and other major life challenges.

While in these different roles, I have worked to fight the stigma surrounding mental health treatment, a cause I passionately believe in.

I am also passionate about supporting parents on their journey to raise lovely humans. As women we have a huge ability to effect change; to be female is to create. We are remarkably resilient and deserve to be empowered as such.

We truly change the world by supporting mothers and families. I can't wait to meet you.
